BLOOM is a DMV-based vocal group made up of four former choir kids who never quite got over the magic of singing together. United by a love of rich harmony and collaborative music-making, they reimagine pop, jazz, neo-soul, and alternative music through lush vocal textures and inventive arrangements. Inspired by artists like Jacob Collier, säje, and Tiny Habits, BLOOM’s sound lives at the intersection of precision and expression. Their performances move effortlessly from intimate, stripped-down acoustic moments to full-band, high-impact renditions of classic pop and rock favorites. No matter the setting, their goal is the same: to make familiar songs feel brand new and deeply felt. At the heart of the group are four distinctive voices: super soprano Nancy McClain, contralto extraordinaire, songwriter, and arranger Rosemary Wright, jazz vocalist and arranger Sarah Moyers, and vocalist, composer, and bandleader Joi Harper. Each artist brings a unique flavor to create a sound that is vibrant, cohesive, and greater than the sum of its parts. With versatility as a defining strength and harmony at its core, BLOOM delivers performances that are joyful, intentional, and deeply compelling.
