Rules for all Sip & Stroll Events
- Alcohol may be purchased only from restaurants/establishments within the area designated for the particular event (see particular event page for map and participating restaurants).
- No other alcohol may be brought onto or be consumed on the site (individuals may not bring their own alcohol to the event, or have open containers of alcohol on site at any other time), and in no event may alcohol purchased for Sip & Stroll be taken into garages or outside the designated event area. We reserve the right to have security check coolers — under VA ABC law, you cannot bring in your own alcohol.
- Participating restaurants/establishments will serve alcohol for Sip & Stroll in clear plastic cups with the establishment’s logo.
- When purchasing the alcohol, tell your server that you are purchasing for Sip & Stroll.
- Purchased alcohol may not be transferred to a different container; it must be consumed in the cups provided.
- Alcohol allowed only during the designated event hours (see particular event page for details).
Violations are subject to punishment. Fairfax County police and private security will patrol Sip & Stroll events.

Darden Purcell
Director of Jazz Studies at GMU, national recording artist (Origin Records), and curator of this series, Darden Purcell is a bona fide jazz star, beloved by our audience, and she will close out the 2025 season.
Clara Campbell
A rising artist based in Washington, D.C., Clara Campbell was the winner of the 2025 Ella Fitzgerald Competition. She is also a featured vocalist with the U.S. Air Force Airmen of Note, is known for her clear tone, nuanced phrasing, and original arrangements.
José Luiz Martins
Pianist, composer, and producer José Luiz Martins has a reputation for his distinct harmonic sensibility and masterful improvisation.
Steve Williams Mighty Little Big Band
Composer, arranger, and saxophonist Steve Williams leads the 11-piece Mighty Little Big Band in original and jazz standard compositions.
Sarah Moyers
A jazz vocalist and arranger, originally from Catlett, VA, Sarah Moyers has shared the stage with Patti LuPone and others and performed at top venues like Blues Alley.
Allyn Johnson
Allyn Johnson is a musician, composer, arranger, and producer whose trademark sound gives brilliance and fortitude to the art of jazz improvisation.
Jen Krupa Quartet
California native Jennifer Krupa is an active trombonist in the Washington, DC area. A member of the United States Navy Band Commodores Jazz Ensemble since 2004, Jen also performs regularly with multiple groups and orchestras.
